How to know if the VM (Quiavolo) model seat is compatible with my car

Our Model VM seat installs in your vehicle following the Isofix standard. Read the Isofix system description below to ensure your car meets the requirements:

The Isofix system consists of a system of metal anchors incorporated into both the car seat and the vehicle itself.

What does the term "multi-group chair for life" mean?

This means that the VM model seat is suitable for the entire stage, from birth to 150 centimeters.

Until what age should my child travel rear-facing?

Traveling rear-facing for as long as possible is safer. When your child travels rear-facing, the car seat absorbs all the impact energy, protecting the child's head, neck, and spine—73% safer than traveling forward-facing.

The DGT recommends rear-facing use until the child is 4 years old, or 105 cm tall.

How many years of warranty does this chair have?

This seat has a two-year warranty. However, we have a special warranty extension for accidents, in which we will replace your seat if it becomes unusable in a traffic accident. This warranty extension lasts 12 years. To activate it, you must fill out the following form: form within a maximum period of 30 days from the purchase of the chair.

What is the difference between ECE R44/04 and i-Size (ECE R129/03) regulations?

ECE R44/04 is the current safety seat regulation for Europe.

I-Size (also known as R129) is the name of a new system for regulating car seats that was approved in July 2013. I-Size will coexist alongside the old R44/04 regulation until 2024, after which its sale, but not its use, will be prohibited.

I've had an accident. Can I still use the car seat?

We advise changing the car seat if it has been involved in an accident.Even if the car seat looks good on the outside, it may have suffered some internal damage that is not noticeable to the human eye, so in the event of another impact, it would not provide adequate protection.

Can I install a rear-facing seat in the passenger seat?

By law, car seats must be installed in the rear seats of the car, if permitted. Otherwise, the passenger airbag must be deactivated.

Should the car seat be placed on a specific seat?

There are recommendations. The DGT recommends placing the car seat in the middle seat, as this is where it will have the least impact from the sides.

Another option for rescue professionals is to place it behind the driver, since the maneuver the driver performs will be instinctive and self-protective.

Each parent must make the decision they consider best.

Until what age does a child have to ride in a car seat?

The answer will not be given in years, but in centimeters.

A child in Spain must be in a car seat until he or she is 135 cm tall. (Theseat seats include so-called boosters, which, although they may be approved, are not the best option. A backrest is much better.)

But there is growing consensus that it is advisable to extend its use up to 150 cm, because it is at this height that the car seat belt is in the correct position to extend diagonally downward from the collarbone.

Will the seat fit my car?

El seat base angle, el interior space of the vehicle and the number of doors of the car can influence the choice.

A vehicle with a very steep seat base (small or sports cars) will require a seat that offers a good recline angle.

In the case of cars with flat seats (large or station wagons), this need won't be as significant. Each make and model of car can vary.

It is also recommended to take into account the height of the space.

How can I wash the chair fabric?

Does the Model VM chair have the "plus test"?

No, because the Plus Test is a test performed by a private Swedish laboratory and is not mandatory. At the moment, they are not considering applying these tests to convertible or multi-group seats.
